Program Descriptions

The program is designed to focus on the child’s willingness to attempt challenges and finding success in just trying. The skills are all taught in progressions, with an emphasis on safety. We applaud everything your child tries to do. Given the young age of the children Elliott in the Park, LLC places an emphasis on movement to release their energy and have fun.

Children's Programming

Start Out Small (6 months-walking)
A class designed to introduce babies to different sounds and movements. We create an environment that helps them to start becoming comfortable with different faces and voices. These activities help little ones start to build a tolerance to sounds and changes, which lends to better sleeping. (Can't go wrong there!). It supports the development of a social network for care givers & new parents; helping them to get out and about to meet others and their babies. Working moms benefit by creating structured activities for your caregiver and baby; helping to start a routine important in emotional development. We utilize music, bells, hoops, and vivid colors to stimulate the infants.

Tots-A-Lot (10-36 months)

The activities in this class have a broader focus on movement and motor skills. Coordination & balance take on a greater role in these classes. The class continues the SOS goal to support the development of a social network for all new parents; helping them to get out and about to meet other new parents and their babies. Working moms benefit by creating structured activities for your caregiver and baby, helping to start a routine important in emotional development. We utilize music, bells, hoops, and vivid colors to stimulate the infants.

Super-Tots (18-24 months)

Class activities encourage children to see outside of their own environment as they parallel play. We also discover our independence by building confidence and self-awareness through special "by myself” activities. Activities at this age are focused on early cognitive development. Children are introduced to some basic gymnastics skills on the balance beam (kick, dip, and hop) swing bar (open, close and holding on tight). All activities are explored through creative games like taking a pretend trip to the zoo and other exotic places.

Sibling Class (15-36 months)

This is a unique class that is only available during the summer session. It is designed for children as an introduction to working and playing with children of different ages. While enjoying all this fun we also try to work on taking our turn, remembering our listening ears etc. We also explore waiting for our grown-up, sibling struggles along with our independence, building confidence and self-awareness through special "kids only” activities. The mixed ages allow families with tight schedules to better manage their schedules. Children will be introduced to the balance beam (kick, dip, and hop) swing bar (open, close and holding on tight), if they haven’t had that experience, others who have attended other classes will attempt tumbles, rolling, and falling.

You do not have to have a sibling to participate in this class.

Tumbling Two's (24-36 months)

Children are introduced to the concept of separation as a part of their lives. While enjoying all this fun we also try to work on taking our turn and remembering our listening ears to foster socialization. We continue to introduce the concept of our independence, building confidence and self-awareness through special "kids only” activities. Activities include basic gymnastics skills on the balance beam (kick, dip, and hop) swing bar (open, close and holding on tight).

Beginner Tumbling (3’s and 4’s)

This class focuses on children’s activities to foster independent work and as an introduction to separation and setting limits for themselves. Children are encouraged to take direction during activities rather than visually mimicking activities. We also explore our independence, building confidence and self-awareness through special "by myself” activities. Activities include basic gymnastics skills on the balance beam (kick, dip, and hop) swing bar (open, close and holding on tight).

Beginner Tumbling (4's and 5's)

This class focuses on combining basic gymnastics/tumbling skills acquired in previous classes. Progressive skill teaching is utilized to allow children to complete combination skills. More advanced gymnastic skills are introduced while continuing to utilize the foundation built on the balance beam combination skills as well as compulsory skills dictated by the United States Gymnastics Federation (kicking, dipping, and hoping) and swing bar (open close, swing and holding on tight). We continue to explore our independence; building confidence and self-awareness, with a longer focus on students setting their own goals and “practicing” independently.

New Programming for Children & Adults!

As may of you know Elliott in the Park is in the middle of expanding both our staff and our locations. With this expansion we are now able to offer additional programming. The new classes are a throw back to the day when schools actually offered Physical Education & creative outlets for children. With this in mind we are now offering physical fitness, games, activities programming as well as art, music and language for children

Mini Camp Program (Art, Music & Language & Gymtastics)
These classes are expanded to include either an art or music component. The mini-camp class lasts 90 minutes. Between the Gymtastics portion and the artistic component, we will be serving a snack of graham crackers and apple juice. These classes are intended for children 18 to 36 months.  The creative component will alternate between art and music each week (The Language portion of the class with consist of new words, phrases or songs that will be introcused and utilized during the class).

Games & Activities (3-5 years old)

This class is a throw back to the days of PE. We will be playing games and activities that we all grew up on. The programming is designed for fun with healthy competition. Children will particpate in classic games and learn new ones.
